Can anyone tell me why, when I finish a project (cutting a 25 min vid down to 20 seconds), I go to export, "change name", then "save", doesn't matter what file type I save it under, it doesn't show up in the folder it "saved" it to. When I search the WHOLE C: for it, it shows up in the search results, but when I click it it says "missing shortcut". Windows 7. What gives.
This editor offers great features and works better than any other free video editor I tried so far. For instance, other editors seem to have big trouble with fade ins/outs and VSDC does it well. However, as good as it can be compared to other free software, it has a major flaw. It keeps crashing all the time... You have to save your project manually every time you do a change if you don't want to lose it because this software does not provide an auto-save and you can be sure it will crash within 10 minutes.
I was impressed when I started to use it but the crashing issue is a big one. I'll start using something else for my next video... Either buy a good editor or, if I find a way to make it work on Windows, OpenShot seems much butter.
Finally found an editor that is 100% free and will let me fix up a video I downloaded that had a HUGE black letter box around it talk about annoying but at long last I find the software to fix this issue. THANK YOU VSDC!
Well, It's phenomenal due to many features, but its output quality is still a major flaw. I do like the program, but I won't use it in HD videos, and that is very sad, considering the huge performance it has.
When I used this, it had a lot of great features. However, my one complaint is that it decreases the quality of the output video in comparison with the raw footage.
When I downloaded Video Editor, I put in a video with a green screen but it wouldn't let me choose any of the video effects such as a background removal to add to the video. Do I need to buy something to unlock? Please help.
I downloaded and installed the program a few days ago: the movies editing works fine, I would say even great, but the output quality is terrible! Hope it's me doing something wrong, but feel this isn't the case... will abandon.
Had the same problem. When choosing a profile to convert (high quality etc), modify it and set it to level 5 and change the bit rate to Max. 10,000 the default, is too low. 1080p should be greater than 8000. That's the problem.
