VSDC Free Video Editor can help you create your own clips. I must confess that at the beginning I had some difficulty to understand this application. Though, I soon realized that it works quite different from other similar programs because it is a non-linear editor. Thus, instead of the usual arrangement of objects in a timeline, this tool is based on the creation of objects at various complexity levels. So, it is crucial to understand such concepts as layers, scenes, and sprites, which together make up your clip.
You can compose your project by importing video and images. Fortunately, multiple file types are supported. It also allows capturing a selected screen area. However, the program’s developers alert that the video capture feature has not been implemented yet. You can arrange the objects in a timeline or use the storyboard view. Moreover, you can also pick a nice transition effect and place it between two objects. At all times, you can preview whatever changes you are making on your project. Finally, the tool allows you to create standard video files. Luckily, you can easily choose the output profile that best meets your preferences because they have been organized according to device type.
All in all, VSDC Free Video Editor is an excellent application. In addition to video editing, it can also be used as a video converter or disc burner. Regrettably, this application may be inadequate if you have poor computer skills.
