VSDC Free Video Editor is mainly a video editing tool but it also includes other functions like conversion or disc burning.
As you enter the application you encounter a modern yet easy-to-use interface. The main layout is well-organized and the color scheme has a proper contrast. However, as you get engaged in projects the interface becomes overcrowded, with buttons and tabs getting smaller and smaller. This is a minus.
I was surprised by the number of multimedia supported files, as it provides support for video formats like AVI, MP4, MKV, MPG, WMV, 3GP, FLV; audio files, such as MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, PCM, OGG, AAC, M4A, AMR; as well as image files: BMP, JPG, PNG, PSD, ICO, TIFF. It also allows you to export in a new H265/HEVC codec to maintain the highest quality at a minimum file size which is essential for that often processing 4K and HD files.
Video effects aren't neglected. They are split into five categories for a better user navigation: color correction, object transformation, object filters, transition effects and special fx. Moreover, you can enable Subpixel accuracy for a smoother video animation or create different shaped masks for hiding and blur video elements. And, if you are a beginner, you can apply Instagram filters to your projects.
Other notable features are a built-in DVD burning tool, a video stabilizer, a video file converter and YouTube uploader.
In the end, I would say that VSDC Free Video Editor truly deserves at least a try, because it's free, has a modern interface and is easy-to-use.

I am using this as it is free. Correct latest versions as they are very heavy for old laptops!!
Really Great Application - I am using this for all my YouTube video creations.
Doesn't install past versions of it like said. takes up more storage than the one on the official website
